Youth Mountain Bike Lessons

Private or small group lessons for youth of any gender (ages 5-17)

Goals

Our goal with every youth mountain bike skills lesson is for your child to have fun and learn something!

We want your child to leave the lesson feeling more confident and yearning for more time on the bike.

With kids, we focus extra time creating a safe space for them to learn, fail, and succeed. We love the feeling of watching a kid have that lightbulb moment and nail a skill for the first time.

Our philosophy is that lots of repetitions helps dial in the basics. We utilize video to capture body position and mechanics and will spend time reviewing that with them during the session to maximize learning.

The Details…

What are the minimum & maximum ages for a youth mountain bike lesson?

Youth lessons are for kids aged 5 to 17.

How long are lessons?

Lesson options are 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, or full-day (two 3-4 hour sessions with a mid-day break). A one hour lesson option is available at the Victor Bike Park to maximize learning time.

What mountain bike skills can we work on?

Lessons are customized to what your child wants to learn.

Examples of skills are: body position, braking, trail vision, dismounting the bike, shifting, cornering, technical climbing, technical descending, drops, jumps, wheel lifts, rolldowns, and trackstands.

After you choose what you want them work on, we’ll pick the best trail or bike park location to learn and progress those specific skills.

What happens after I click the “Book a lesson” button?

Once you click the button below, you’ll answer a pre-lesson info questionnaire. We’ll get an email with all of this info and your date options. Then we’ll check our calendar. If you have flexibility with your dates & times, that is super helpful for us to know. We’re a small outfit and we want to do our best to be able to accommodate your schedule!
